Harry Richardson RIP

Harry Richardson, one of the most entertaining characters we've ever had in the managerial hotseat at E&B, died last week. In his two spells as manager from 1991-94 he took us briefly to the top of the Southern League Southern Division and gave us a lot of entertaining football and great quotes (as well as nearly punching me once or twice). I'll be doing an obituary in the Sevenoaks programme, but would anyone else like to share their memories of 'Arry?

Sad news that a larger than life character has passed away I played for Harry at Alma Swanley
on my first game he offered to pay me £40 a game £10 win bonus and £10 a goal I scored 4 we won
on approaching H for my money he told me to meet him and the lads at a pub in Dartford I went to the
pub he handed me the money then took it back swiftly saying you always put your first weeks wages in
the whip but if I wanted I could stay and drink it, I duly obliged.
A great character he will be missed RIP Harry.

Never met Harry but saw plenty of games when he was manager.
