I'm disappointed we let a goal in and only scored three. When will things improve?

I agree that the spark did not seem to be there Saturday. A couple of the more senior players did not appear to be up for the challenge and although the second half was a bit better, they did not show up in my view.

Corinthians young & old have a long way to go yet, but the signs are promising for this squad. They will continue to chip away at teams through the season and will get a couple of more wins.

They are still short of a good striker, but with the block on getting in more experienced and older players, they will continue to fall short.

But not to take away a well earned victory from the Dere's, everyone who follows them expects more, but a win is a win and with even more new faces in the squad it was a good result.

I know this thread is old news now, but it is a great shame that Radders does not look to get the reserves more involved. Steve Wetherley was on the bench on Saturday and with 10 minutes to go and 3-1 up you made a sub and put Nathan on???

Such is life!!!

Fair enough, we all have our offdays. Good to hear the club are moving in the right direction. Nice set up you've got down there, surprised it's so hard to attract experienced or older players who might appreciate the better facilities.

Rightidere you say huss is low on confidence this season and that is why you made him captain, to try and perk him up! why do you think a player can be player of the season one year then low on confidence the next ?.... I think its because the team has been messed about with a little too much and regular players who have played one well one week getting dropped the next ( with new and diferent players coming in and some of have no intention of staying ) example Bell had a run in the team at earlier in the season didnt put a foot wrong for 2 or 3 games then was dropped, I know if you can sign a player better than what we got then you should sign him, but when the people coming in are not better, anyway im really sorry to keep sounding like a moaning old git :D , im sure its hard to do the job you are trying to do and i know your still learning your trade, so please believe me when i say good luck and i wish you well , but i like to have my oppinion as football is all about oppions, ..................come on you deres..........ps why did you ask if i have ever managed a team who do you think i am, oh ps the reason you will not see me in the bar is because i am a recovering alcoholic. and i must say after one or two of our games this season if i was in the bar i would have got well sloshed lol

ebfcman,

Keep up the recovery! Agree with you that E&B provides plenty of reason to have a beer or four. :D

I would join you in being a moaning old git and grumbling that we need a stable squad before we have any success ... but I've already had that whinge once or twice on here, so I'll pass on the chance to have another go at that topic!

I would echo what you say about the management job being hard work, pretty much unsung and having a steep learning curve. Mistakes will be made along the way, and we may have the odd comment or two on this forum offering constructive advice, but we all hope steady progress continues to be made. So good luck to all involved.

I think the management deserve a bit of praise after the Corinthian game. All three goals scored by new signings, Binks looking as though he may get the defence organised, hales looking good in midfield and hopefully Huss returning to form.
One point about Huss, cant have it both ways, either he tackles hard and will give away some free kicks. Or he doesnt and wont be the player he was last year. No point moaning if he does give away the odd freekick

I agree with you that for huss to be free to play HIS game will mean giving away a free kick or two, but thats just unlucky for him because he puts in so many goood tackles , 50% he will get right, 25% he will miss time, 25% the ref will get wrong, but im more than ready to accept it thay way for him, LONG LIVE THE HUSSMAN
