The full list will follow next week
At a meeting at Wembley Stadium last Thursday, the Ryman Football League reached an agreement with Grays Athletic and East Thurrock United for Grays Athletic to play at East Thurrock’s ground for the next two seasons.
Consequently, the League has agreed to admit Grays Athletic to Division One North of the Ryman League for next season.
What has this got to do with Erith & Belvedere you may ask? Well, this has meant a delay in the release of the Ryman League fixtures which has the knock on effect of delaying the release of fixtures for the Safety Net Associates Kent Football League!
The Ryman League released the fixtures for its Premier Division last night but its Division One fixtures won’t be released until the early part of next week when the Kent League’s fixture secretary, Matthew Panting, can release the full list of the Kent League fixtures.
However, today sees the publication of the opening day fixtures of the Kent League Premier Division with the remaining fixtures for Season 2010-2011 released during next week.
Micky Collins’ first taste of Kent League action as Erith & Belvedere manager will see the Deres travel down the A2 to face one of the favourites for the Kent League title, Herne Bay.
The full list of fixtures for Saturday 7 August is as follows;
Corinthian v Sporting Bengal Utd
Deal Town v Lordswood
Fisher v Greenwich Borough
Herne Bay v Erith & Belvedere
Holmesdale v Erith Town
Sevenoaks Town v Norton Sports
Tunbridge Wells v Beckenham Town
VCD Athletic v Hythe Town
While on the subject of fixtures, our FA Carlsberg Vase, 2nd Round Qualifying tie with Saltdean United has been switched to Sunday 19 September 2010 and will kick off at 4pm.
